EzTO Privacy Policy

EzTO helps you remember dishes you've eaten at restaurants. This policy explains what we collect, who we share it with, and why.

What we collect

• Account: your email address and a securely hashed password (we never store your password in plain text).
• Your content: photos you add, dish names, your 😋/🤢 ratings, and notes.
• Location: when you choose "find restaurants near me," search for a place, or get an arrival reminder, we use your device's precise (GPS) location to find or recognize nearby places. This only happens while the app is open and in use — on Android, arrival reminders are also only checked while the app is open; on iOS, if you've turned reminders on, this can also run in the background so you're notified on arrival. We store the location of a place only when you save a dish there.
• Advertising & diagnostics: if you view or watch an ad, Google AdMob collects your device's advertising ID, an IP-based approximate location, how you interact with the ad, and diagnostics/crash logs.
• Subscription status: whether you have an active EzTO Pro subscription, from Google Play Billing via RevenueCat. We never see or store your card details.

How we use it

• To provide the app: identify dishes, find restaurants, keep your personal food history, and remind you what you loved when you arrive somewhere.
• Google Gemini — dish photos are sent to Google's Gemini AI to identify the dish.
• Google Places — your location is sent to Google to find and search nearby restaurants.
• Google AdMob — shows ads, and uses the data above for ads, analytics, and fraud prevention.
• RevenueCat / Google Play Billing — processes and reports subscription status; EzTO never handles payment details directly.

Storage

Your data is stored on our servers (DigitalOcean). Photos are kept privately and shown only to you.

Your choices

You can stop sharing location in your phone settings. You can delete your account and all of its data at any time — see how to delete your account.

Third parties

Google Gemini (dish identification), Google Places (restaurant search), Google AdMob (advertising), and RevenueCat / Google Play Billing (subscriptions).
